The official M3000 50th Anniversary Edition theme, composed by LJ Rich : "Thirty Shades of Tron" in M3000's "Two Tron" mode - two mellotrons for the price of one, sequenced by an external MIDI application
Glenn Tommey plays some Stackridge classics
Doug Woods of The Sound Test Room tests out the M3000, and the 'Harry Chamberlin' in-app purchase
Now four quite amazing audio demo recordings from YouTube user 'pinstripedclips'. The 'M3000 Light Years from Home' is an energetic take on a Rolling Stones mellotron classic track, and features real guitar. The other videos use just M3000 to generate sounds, and are really remarkable - using only an iPad mini, playing the touch screen without using external MIDI and using Garageband as a multitrack tape recorder, he has generated rich, complex and very believable orchestrations based on the standard in-app tape set, 'Harry's Tapes' and the 'Clare Lindley Violin Collection' - please give them all a listen, they are excellent examples of how M3000 can not only add classic mellotron sounds to recordings, but can still do what the mellotron was designed to do - successfully stand in for physical instruments in a mix.
Harry's Tapes do jazz - nice!

The in-app '50th Anniversary Tape Set' is put through its paces - and it sounds as authentically Mellotronic as anything you ever heard in your life!
