IMPORTANT NOTE : the company Omenie Ltd. closed down on 31st July 2024.
All support for Omenie apps ceased on 1st June. The apps have been transferred from Omenie to Phil Atkin's personal account, and are now available free of charge, but are offered with no support whatsoever.
At some point these apps will no longer be available on the App Store. Apple will likely remove them from the store within the next 12 months as they have not been refreshed for a long time. At some point in the near future they will go, and they will not come back.
So - if an app is mission-critical for you - for example if you are a touring musician who relies on Streetlytron, or if you are a church organist who relies on our pipe organs - do something NOW to preserve your app on your device. My advice is to put aside a device (or two, or three) with a current version of iOS, make sure the app you rely on is running and stable, and DO NOT UPDATE THE DEVICE TO A NEW iOS VERSION, EVER. Once the app stops working due to operating system updates, it will never start working again.
You could get 5 or even 10 more years of good use out of the apps, and at that point you can surely find a good alternative. In the meantime, I have LOVED doing this, I have really enjoyed bringing music, Mellotronics and heavenly pipes into people's lives - play, and enjoy.
