Customization Templates If you are adept at Photoshop, or have access to a designer, customization of CARDonate is simple - just design eye-catching images to the correct resolution, integrate whatever text you wish into the images within Photoshop to get your message across, drop the images onto your iPad, then import them into CARDonate. If you don't have a copy of Photoshop, or are not confident with painting / image manipulation tools, we have found that the best applications to create images for CARDonate are presentation applications. For example, Keynote (for Mac or for iPad), Microsoft PowerPoint, or its open sourced competitor Apache Open Office Impress. |
Using Keynote or PowerPoint to customize CARDonate The downloadable .zip file below contains 3 folders. The folder called 'helpers 2048x1536' contains a set of images that can be used to simplify the process of creating images with Keynote or PowerPoint. The video above illustrates the process of customizing a CARDonate deployment using only the supplied templates and a copy of Keynote for Mac. Keynote for iPad is a very similar process, but the best quality is obtained on iPad by capturing the screen while viewing the presentation - export to PNG on iPad is at a disappointingly low resolution.
